Mike Minor was born Dec. 7, 1940, in San Francisco. His father is television producer Don Fedderson. He attended University High School in Los Angeles, Brown Military Academy in San Diego and began voice lessons at the age of 14.

His first singing job was at Ye Little Club in Beverly Hills, where he was engaged for two weeks and held over for ten. Since then he has appeared at Bimbo's in San Francisco, the Rat Fink Room in New York, the Elegante in Brooklyn, Izzy's Supper Club in Vancouver and the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

A recording artist, Minor has made two albums and numerous singles, the latter including the successful "Silver Dollar" and "One Day at a Time". [Click here for Mike Minor's Discography]

Among his television credits are "My Three Sons", "Route 66", "Dr. Kildare", "The Lieutenant", "Gunsmoke", "The Linkletter Show", "The Donald O'Connor Show", "The Joey Bishop Show" and the "Tonight" show.

In 1968 he made his stage debut, playing the romantic lead in "The Impossible Years" with Ozzie and Harriet Nelson.

A natural athlete, Mike's childhood ambition was to be a professional baseball player, but as he matured he switched to golf. He is a member of the Hollywood Hackers, an organization of show-biz golfers who travel around the country playing choice golf courses and entertaining wherever they go. Minor is 6'2", weighs 185 pounds and has brown eyes and hair.

Mike was married Sept. 7, 1968, to Linda Kaye Henning, who plays Betty Jo on "Petticoat Junction", following a romance that began on the set. A year before their real-life wedding they were married in the television series. Minor has one son by a former marriage. [Editor's note - Mike and Linda were divorced after five years - they had no children]

(Click here for articles & photos about both weddings from the Henning Family Scrapbook)

They live in a little home in Sherman Oaks, Calif. They share a love of the theatre, both as performers and spectators, and they hope one day to do a play together. (click here for a photo of Mike & Linda together)
