TV Land still hasn't posted any notice on their website and I haven't seen any commercial for it yet but they now have the announcement and schedule posted on America Online, keyword Nick. PJ is being shown in place of "Sunday Showcase". Note that the times are eastern time. Here's what they say:
Petticoat Junction star Meredith MacRae passed away on Friday, July 14th, from brain cancer. She was fifty-six years old. Ms. MacRae was the third and final actress to play Billie Jo, the oldest of the Bradley sisters on Petticoat Junction.
As a tribute to her work as well as her support of the network, TV Land will air a two-hour block (on Sunday, July 23rd starting at 11 p.m. eastern) of Petticoat Junction featuring Ms. MacRae's character, Billie Jo Bradley. In addition, Nick-at-Nite/TV Land Online will support this tribute with a three-hour chat dedicated to Ms. MacRae, Petticoat Junction, and My Three Sons (another series in which Ms. MacRae starred.)
Here's the schedule of Petticoat Junction episodes airing in the TV Land tribute to Meredith MacRae on Sunday, July 23rd (all times are eastern):
11:00 p.m.
"Don't Call Us"
Billie Jo lands her first professional singing engagement for one night at the Flamingo Room in the Springdale Hotel, where she sings "I Enjoy Being a Girl".
11:30 p.m.
"The Eternal Triangle"
Bobbie Jo and Betty Jo compete for the favor of Steve Elliot heretofore the boyfriend of their sister, Billie Jo.
12:00 Midnight
"Billie Joe's First Record"
A slick, big-city promotion man concocts a phony publicity build-up to promote Billie Jo's first record.
12:30 a.m.
"Susan B. Anthony, I Love You"
Billie Jo returns from Chicago with a visionary zeal for the women's liberation movement and enlists her sisters in "the cause".
Join the gang in Classic TV Chat this Sunday, July 23rd, starting at 9 p.m. (eastern) for a special three-hour chat in tribute to Meredith MacRae, who passed away on Friday, July 14th. There will be games, chat, and more centered on the life and career of Ms. MacRae and the two TV Land shows in which she starred, Petticoat Junction and My Three Sons. You'll also have a chance to "follow along" with TV Land's tribute to Meredith MacRae with two hours of Petticoat Junction starting at 10 p.m. (eastern). So get on over to the junction this Sunday night!
(Note that there's an error on the AOL chat schedule. The AOL only Classic TV Chat will start at 10pm eastern and last three hours but TV Land will show two hours of Petticoat Junction starting at 11pm.)
